This site does not use personal information for advertising, marketing or profiling, and personal information is not sold. Only the limited information needed to operate the site, publish guestbook entries and prevent abuse is processed.

Information processed when you visit
Like most websites, the site and its service providers automatically process limited technical information when pages are requested. This may include:
– your IP address;
– browser and device information;
– the date and time of a request;
– the page or resource requested; and
– security information used to detect spam, bots or attacks.
This information is used only to deliver the website, maintain its security, diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse.
The visitor counter in the footer is intended to show an aggregate number of visits, not to identify individual visitors.
Guestbook and comments
You do not need to provide your real name or other identifying information to use the guestbook. The message is required; the name, email address and website fields are optional.
If you submit an entry, the site processes:
– the message you provide;
– any optional name and website you provide;
– any optional email address you provide; and
– technical information such as your IP address and browser information, which WordPress and Akismet use to help detect spam and abuse.
Your message and any name or website you choose to provide may be displayed publicly. Your email address and IP address are not published.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in a public guestbook entry. You can ask for an entry to be corrected or removed by emailing contact@matrixster.co.uk
Cookies
The site does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site marketing.
WordPress, security services or embedded content may use cookies that are necessary to provide their features or protect the site. If you select the option to save your name, email address and website when posting, WordPress stores cookies on your device so those details can be filled in next time. This option is voluntary.
Services used by this site
Limited information may be processed by the following providers:
– Krystal, which hosts the website;
– Cloudflare, which helps deliver and protect the site;
– Akismet, which checks guestbook entries and comments for spam
– Jetpack, which provides site security and aggregate statistics. This may include processing IP addresses and limited technical information such as the visitor’s country (derived from the IP address) and referring website.
– providers of embedded content, such as the Steam-related content displayed on the Games page.
These providers process information under their own privacy terms. Some may process information outside the United Kingdom and use their own legal safeguards for international transfers.
Legal basis
The site relies on legitimate interests where necessary to:
– operate and secure the website;
– prevent spam, attacks and misuse;
– publish and administer guestbook entries submitted by visitors; and
– respond to messages or removal requests.
The optional cookie that remembers guestbook details is used only when you choose that option.
How long information is kept
Guestbook entries and comments are normally kept for as long as they remain relevant to the site, unless you ask for removal or there is another reason to delete them.
Technical and security information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Backup copies are retained for up to seven days, so recently deleted information may remain briefly in a backup before it is overwritten.
